In this fast-paced, high-pressure world, we all ultimately work so that someday someone will remember what we’ve left behind. One way or another.
My mother loves beautiful jewelry. Of course, what woman doesn’t? But her passion didn’t stem from store windows. My father and grandfather were antique dealers for decades. My father, ever the romantic, would occasionally surprise her with a truly special piece. Not new jewelry, but pieces that had already lived a life—or even several. I grew up surrounded by this romance, amidst the delicate details of different eras of history. And I always felt that these objects weren’t just beautiful—they held knowledge. My mother isn’t the first person to wear this jewelry. She doesn’t just wear gemstones and precious metals. She wears stories. Each piece is also a kind of talisman. We can’t know exactly what it holds within, but we sense that it’s more than what we see. So it wasn’t hard for me to fall in love with beautiful objects. But even more so, with the fact that they have a story.
I was twelve years old when I decided that I wanted to found an iconic jewelry brand bearing my family’s name. Not a costume jewelry brand. Not a seasonal, trend-following brand. But one that embodies, as its guiding principles, everything I learned as a child. The power of the story. Its uniqueness. Its rarity. The wisdom of time that an object embodies and carries forward. A timeless presence.
Meanwhile, the world has changed. Fashion has accelerated. Costume jewelry has flooded the market. Objects have become disposable. And people have become very similar to one another. The question was: Is there still a place for timelessness in a fast-paced world? Is it possible today to create jewelry that people choose not for a single season, but for a lifetime?
For me, VERSÁNSZKY is the answer to this question.
It was a conscious decision not to go down the path of mass production. To ensure that the pieces are limited in number. That there is a concept and meaning behind every collection. That the material, through recycling, carries its wisdom forward into the new object. That the jewelry be not just an aesthetic experience, but a quiet language of quality and elegance. The goal was to ensure that the sense of heritage is not just a part of the past, but also a possibility for the present.
Versánszky jewelry is not plated. This way, you don't have to worry that layers that wear off over time will spoil the jewelry's appearance or make it look like cheap costume jewelry. Every piece is made of solid 925 sterling silver, but can also be made of gold upon request.
The raw material is recycled noble metal that fully retains its original quality.During the remelting process, the silver does not lose any of its purity or value; it simply takes on a new form, while also carrying with it the “wisdom” of the original object.
VERSÁNSZKY jewelry is not merely objects, but stories you can wear. Recycled precious metals do not lose their value during the process – on the contrary: in their new form, they carry forward everything they represented in their previous “lives,” so the material preserves the layers of the past in its own quiet way.
This approach represents a more conscious, sustainable value creationwhere aesthetics, quality, and responsibility are in balance. Thus, jewelry is not merely an object to be worn, but a kind of presence that embodies value, one whose meaning only grows stronger over time through lived experiences.
VERSÁNSZKY jewelry is not created through mass production or based on catalog-style designs. Each piece is strictly limited; only three copies of each design are produced, and once they find their owners, that particular design will never be reproduced.
This approach ensures that what you wear is truly rare and one-of-a-kind. The intricate craftsmanship and unique patterns deliberately distance themselves from the mass-produced aesthetic worn by so many, creating a distinctive, recognizable world.
Every VERSÁNSZKY product is made entirely in Hungary. From the procurement of raw materials through casting and machining to the final finishing, every step of the process is carried out in local workshops and in collaboration with our partners.
In production, I work with a Hungarian foundry, so not only the design but also the manufacturing takes place locally. This not only strengthens quality control but represents a creative approach rooted in local valuesas well.
VERSÁNSZKY is thus not the product of a global, impersonal supply chain, but rather the embodiment of a locally born, personal, and consistent brand.
My favorite professor at the university once said:
"Live your life the way you want to. Play by your own rules and build your own world. After all, who gets to tell you how you should live? If you want, decorate three Christmas trees. If you want, don’t decorate any. It’s up to you. Make your choice."
I held onto that thought for years.
Then one day, I went back to my 12-year-old self – to that little girl who still believed in her dreams unconditionally. I dug them up from deep within and said:
"Let’s do it. The decision is that there’s no other option."
And VERSÁNSZKY was finally born – from the decision to choose my own world. A world where beauty is self-expression, elegance is freedom, and every piece of jewelry is a moment to be cherished.
Heritage isn’t just what we receive; it’s also what we leave behind. VERSÁNSZKY was founded so that, even in this rapidly changing world, there would be pieces that endure. Pieces that become heirlooms. Pieces that are passed down. Pieces that are remembered. Because, in the end, we all work so that someday someone will remember what we’ve left behind. Because jewelry preserves more of us than we might think.

Lately, everything for me has been about Versánszky—the jewelry, the art, and the website.
Now I’m going to take a week off and relax.
Because sometimes the best thing a creator can do is step away. To let things settle. Sometimes an artist will take a vacation right after launching their website.
You can still place orders during this time, but the creation of the jewelry and the shipping of packages will take a little longer.
Thank you for your patience!
